A recipient is the person or organisation name written on incoming mail. Explorer lets you register one authorised recipient name under your mailbox code.
When a letter or parcel arrives, VPOBOX receives it, checks it into your private inbox and stores the physical item. From there you instruct us what to do next: scan, forward, collect or securely destroy.
For every scan request you choose what happens to the physical original after scanning: keep it until its existing storage deadline, or securely destroy it after the scan is completed. Scanning does not restart the physical-storage clock.
Each eligible physical item is stored for 30 days from the date VPOBOX checks it in, whether or not you later request an Open & Scan. The deadline is shown inside the mail item.
There is no scheduled deletion date or monthly document-count limit for scans while the account remains continuously paid and active, subject to a 500 MB total fair-use storage ceiling. Older files may be optimised or compressed to control server usage, which can reduce visual quality. Retention is not guaranteed after an account expires, is cancelled or is left unpaid.

Use the same VPOBOX for up to three registered recipient names, for example you, a partner and a trading name. Incoming items should clearly show one of those authorised names together with your VPOBOX code.
Up to 100 incoming letters or parcels can be checked into your digital inbox per month. Every arrival gets a digital record so you can decide what should happen to the physical item.
Choose Keep physical original or Destroy after scan when submitting the request. If you keep it, the original remains stored only until the 60-day deadline calculated from the original receiving date.
Physical storage lasts 60 days from check-in. Opening or scanning an item does not reset or extend that storage period. The exact deadline is visible in your account.
The system gives Nomad Pro requests a higher operational priority so time-sensitive scan, forwarding and collection instructions are easier for the mailroom to identify.

Studio supports up to ten authorised recipient names on the mailbox. This is useful when several people, departments or legitimate business names need to receive through one VPOBOX account.
Up to 250 incoming items per month can be logged into your account. Each item appears separately with sender, date, type, tracking data when available and its physical-storage deadline.
Every Open & Scan request includes your post-scan instruction. Keep means the original remains only until its 90-day storage deadline; Destroy after scan means the mailroom securely disposes of the physical original once the scan is completed.
Studio items are physically stored for 90 days from the moment they are received. The deadline remains tied to that receiving date even if the document is opened, scanned or viewed online.
The admin request queue recognises the Studio tier as the highest processing priority, making urgent operational work easier to identify among pending client requests.
There is no fixed monthly deletion cycle for digital scans on an active paid Studio account, subject to a 500 MB total fair-use ceiling. We may compress or optimise older files, which may reduce image fidelity. No retention guarantee applies once continuous paid service ends.
Across all VPOBOX plans, completed scans can remain in your private digital archive while the account remains continuously active and paid, subject to a 500 MB total fair-use ceiling. Older files may be optimised or compressed, which can reduce image clarity. We do not guarantee retention after an account expires, is cancelled, remains unpaid or otherwise stops being continuously active.
